Britpop Childhood: A Playlist

So naturally the appearance of such shows like "My Mad Fat Diary", "The Office" and "I'm Alan Partridge" have really re-introduced a lot of music from my childhood, gems such as "Beautiful Ones" by Suede and "Brimful of Asha"have lit up my spotify and made a lot of my walks into uni way happier and bouncier.

Coincidentally, I made this playlist for my best friend of 17 years back in December for her 21st birthday, it's a little snapshot of the cultural influences that well- influenced us during the 1990s. Look out for ZZAP!, Alan Partridge's beautiful face and a character from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, along with various musicians including Manic Street Preachers and such 90s landmark events like Oasis ripping the piss out of Blur at the 1996 Brit Awards.

And well, this fascination I have at the mo with the 1990s can't help but seep into my art work. Suede's Beautiful Ones lyrics on a sewn piece.
